 We believe that Camp:

  • Is a special place where children learn, grow and develop skills.
  • Is the first (and sometimes only) chance to live in and appreciate the natural environment.  For many campers, it is a positive life changing experience.
  • Is where magic can happen...it’s where the underachieving kid suddenly takes on a leadership role...where the shy child assumes the starring role in a play or skit.  Camp inspires confidence as kids learn to master a new skill or activity.
  • Is a right-of-passage that every child should have the chance to experience regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
  • Most of all camp is about  having FUN!

Thanks to the generous support of many labour unions, groups, organizations, businesses and individuals, Camp Jubilee is able to provide financial assistance to families who otherwise could not afford to send their children to camp due to current financial circumstances.

The majority of campers attending Camp Jubilee each summer participate through the "Send-A-Kid to Camp" campaign which provides either full or partial financial assistance enabling children from low-income families to participate in a summer camp experience.

Families are encouraged to register and apply f or a campership as soon as possible to ensure space.  Families requesting camperships are asked to participate financially within their means to ensure that the limited campership funds available are used for many low-income families as possible.  Teachers, principals and other community support workers can help by assisting and encouraging families to apply.
